Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

The Securities and Exchange Commission is a US federal agency that regulates public companies, including disclosure filings made by To The Stars Academy of Arts and Science as a public benefit corporation.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is a US federal regulatory body whose filings requirements have surfaced in the corpus through its oversight of To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science (TTSA). TTSA was structured as a public company soliciting investment from potential investors as a public benefit corporation, a status prescribed under SEC laws and regulation.12

TTSA’s disclosure obligations to the SEC produced a public record of the company’s activities and personnel changes. It took Tom DeLonge several months to formally disclose to the SEC that Christopher K. Mellon, Luis Elizondo, and Steve Justice had departed the organisation.3

Two specific SEC disclosures document TTSA’s technical and materials work. In a 2018 disclosure, TTSA revealed that it had retained Harold E. Puthoff’s firm EarthTech International to prepare plans on materials analysis and beamed energy propulsion launch systems, according to that filing.4 In a 2019 disclosure, TTSA notified the SEC that Tom DeLonge had sold the same six Art’s Parts samples to the company for $35,000, and that Hal Puthoff would be analysing them for TTSA, according to that filing.5
