Before enrolling at the United States Naval Academy, David Fravor served as an enlisted member of the United States Marine Corps (USMC).1 The Marine Corps recommended him for admission to the Academy.2 Fravor subsequently attended and graduated from the United States Naval Academy.3
During his time at the Academy, Fravor undertook his freshman midshipman cruise aboard the USS Nimitz (CVN-68), following his first year of study there.4
Fravor has stated that it took exactly two years from the day he graduated from the Naval Academy until he received his naval aviator wings.5
