United States Space Force (USSF)

The United States Space Force is the sixth branch of the US military, established in December 2019, whose personnel have included a contractor supporting Pentagon UAP investigations.

The United States Space Force (USSF) is the sixth and newest branch of the US military, established in December 2019.¹ This coincides with the creation of the United States Space Force as a distinct service. Its Latin motto is “Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum”, meaning “If you want peace, prepare for war”.² According to In Plain Sight, the USSF’s stated vision includes developing a world-class team of space professionals building combat-ready space forces and space warfighting capabilities.³

Christopher K. Mellon said that the United States Air Force (USAF) oversees the Space Force and has far more aircraft and sensor systems than the United States Navy (USN), as well as responsibility for supporting North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).⁴

The USSF’s connection to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) work runs through Luis Elizondo. Elizondo said that the USSF did not yet have a UAP programme when Jay Stratton needed a representative from the organisation for the task force he was building, understood to be the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF).⁵ Elizondo said he then began working as a contractor for the USSF to help build its UAP effort and support Stratton’s task force.⁶ According to Elizondo, David Charles Grusch worked with him at the USSF.⁷

A Pentagon spokesperson confirmed to the media, according to Elizondo, that Elizondo provides technical advice on a variety of classified topics for the USSF.⁸
