Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler was the leader of Nazi Germany. Within these sources he appears chiefly in connection with the wartime deception operations that preceded the 1944 Normandy landings, the state’s sponsorship of Wernher von Braun’s rocket programme, and a set of claims concerning his occult interests and the recurrence of his birthdate across later NASA lunar missions.

On 1939-09-01, Hitler’s forces invaded Poland.¹ The following day, Great Britain and France sent an ultimatum demanding an end to military action by 1939-09-03.² During the papacy of Pius XI, the Catholic Church had to withstand persecutions under Hitler and Joseph Stalin.³ Pius XI’s successor, Pius XII, has been described as a man of compromise who tried to please everyone and avoided confrontation, whose inability to stand firm was his undoing in an early confrontation with Hitler and the Nazis in Rome.⁴ The same source notes that although Pius XII is historically documented as having helped thousands of Jews escape, he never spoke out openly against Hitler’s anti-Semitism, which made him a target of criticism.⁵ In the run-up to the 1944 Normandy landings, the London Controlling Section (LCS) arranged a secret alliance in which the Soviets and Americans agreed with the British on worldwide feint manoeuvres designed to deceive Hitler, keeping Wehrmacht divisions expecting attacks that never materialised.⁶ Major Murphy told Jacques Vallée that Hitler had 95 percent of the information about the Normandy landing, but that it was the wrong 95 percent.⁷ Separately, Vallée assessed that Aleister Crowley’s influence on Hitler was more imaginary than real.⁸

Hitler’s government sponsored the rocket research of Wernher von Braun. When Hitler came to power in 1933, von Braun remained in Germany despite having the option to leave for France, England or America.⁹ In 1939, Hitler personally visited von Braun’s laboratories in Peenemunde Germany and was shown a demonstration of the rockets developed by von Braun’s team.¹⁰ An official photograph of this 1939 briefing and demonstration is described as leading directly to von Braun being personally offered a commission in the Schutzstaffel (SS) by Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler, and to the V-2 programme at Peenemünde.¹¹ Hitler personally assigned Colonel Walter Dornberger to oversee von Braun’s research for military applications.¹² In compliance with Hitler’s orders, the A4 flying bomb was deployed against Britain in 1944.¹³ Himmler was responsible for growing the SS from a small personal bodyguard for Hitler into a large organisation with its own mission, objectives, army and internal structure, which led the persecution of Freemasons, and later Jews and other racial minorities, in Hitler’s Germany.¹⁴

According to Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke of Oxford University, author of The Occult Roots of Nazism, Hitler and Himmler considered the Nazi party to be a direct lineal descendant of the Teutonic Knights.¹⁵ Goodrick-Clarke further wrote that Hitler considered himself a reincarnation of Frederick Barbarossa, the founder of the Teutonic Knights offshoot of the Knights Templar.¹⁶ According to a further source, Hitler and Himmler believed that the ancient Egyptian gods came from Atlantis, which they believed was a high civilisation established on Earth by extraterrestrials.¹⁷

Several sources note that Hitler’s birthday, 20 April, recurs across dates associated with later NASA activity. Surveyor 3 landed on the Moon in Oceanus Procellarum on 1967-04-20, Hitler’s birthday.¹⁸ Richard C. Hoagland made the same observation about the Surveyor 3 landing date.¹⁹ Apollo 16 landed on the Moon on 1972-04-20, also Hitler’s birthday.²⁰ Hoagland likewise stated that the Apollo 16 lunar module, named Orion (Apollo 16 Lunar Module), landed on that date.²¹ Hoagland further noted that Apollo 12 astronaut Alan Bean inspected the Surveyor 3 spacecraft, which had soft-landed in virtually the same location as the Apollo 12 lunar module more than two years earlier, on Hitler’s birthday.²² A further source states that a 1998 National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Cydonia observation announcement also fell on 20 April, Hitler’s birthday.²³
