Charlie Hickson

Charlie Hickson was a shipyard worker in Pascagoula, Mississippi, who in October 1973 reported that he and Calvin Parker were abducted aboard an unidentified flying object, an account on which he later passed a polygraph test.

Charlie Hickson, recorded in some sources as Charles Hickson, was a shipyard worker whose account forms the centre of the 1973 Pascagoula abduction. In October 1973 he described that an unidentified flying object had landed in the old Schaupeter shipyard in Pascagoula, USA Mississippi.¹ He claimed that three “things” picked him and Calvin Parker up and carried them aboard the craft, where the two men were closely examined.²

Accounts of the 1973 Pascagoula, Mississippi UFO abduction name the witnesses as two fishermen: Hickson, then aged 42, and Parker, aged 19.³ According to THE INVISIBLE COLLEGE: What a Group of Scientists Has Discovered About UFO Influences on the Human Race, the two men from Pascagoula told of abduction by grotesque robot-like creatures.⁴

Hickson, along with Betty Hill and Travis Walton, took a polygraph test related to his UFO abduction account and passed it.⁵ Researcher Al Lawson said that a later hypnosis study using subjects who had not reported genuine abductions produced a narrative he considered surprisingly similar to classic abduction cases such as those of Hill and Hickson.⁶
