Christopher Bledsoe is a Baptist from North Carolina who had worked as a pilot and built a successful construction business before a sighting altered the course of his life.1 Bledsoe has said that he had a profound UFO sighting which he came to interpret as an extension of his own religious tradition.2
His congregation did not share this interpretation: church members rejected his account and characterised the experience as demonic.3 The rejection contributed to several difficult years in which Bledsoe felt alienated from his community, though he later appeared to have reached a settled understanding of what the experience meant to him.4
Bledsoe’s son, Ryan Bledsoe, hosts a podcast.5 Chris Ramsay visited Bledsoe at his home in North Carolina.6 Ramsay has said that Bledsoe has been in touch with many factions of intelligence agencies in the United States.7
Bledsoe is the author of the book Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) of God. According to a 2024 DEBRIEFED interview, the book details an orb dripping an unknown substance onto Bledsoe’s driveway.8 Ramsay has said that this account predates public discussion of angel hair by years.9
Ramsay has also recounted that, in the same book, Bledsoe wrote of healing his dog Nellie - who he said was spurting blood across the house - by placing his hands on her, and of healing a Make-A-Wish child with intestinal problems and little time to live in the same way.10
Jason Samosa has said that Ryan Bledsoe recounted being told by Jim Semivan that the Bledsoe family are thought to be hybrids, their experiences potentially explained by human-alien hybridization involving a particular strand of non-human DNA.11
