Janine Vallée is a UFO researcher known primarily through her collaboration with her husband, Jacques Vallée, on field investigations of reported sightings in France.
In December 1973, Janine Vallée and Jacques Vallée investigated the Carteret UFO sighting during a research trip through the west of France.1 Janine Vallée travelled to Carteret within ten days of the sighting, where she interviewed one of the witnesses and spoke with police investigators, while Jacques Vallée checked other information related to the case.2
The couple also attended a meeting of the Order of Melchizedek at the Hyatt Hotel in San Francisco, each paying an admission fee of three dollars.3 According to Grace Hooper Pettipher, who addressed the audience at the meeting, some of those present had come from outside the planet, and she spoke of beings arriving in UFOs and people going away with them.4
In a separate episode, Jacques Vallée recorded observing Uri Geller giving instructions to a subject; as this occurred, Jacques Vallée independently wrote a number on his own notepad and showed it to Janine Vallée.5
