Jeremy Corbell is a documentary filmmaker whose work on unidentified aerial phenomena includes In Plain Sight and Sleeping Dog, and who with George Knapp has brought leaked government video material to the attention of the United States Congress.

Jeremy Corbell is a documentary filmmaker whose work concerns unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) and associated government secrecy. His 2021 film In Plain Sight centres on Bob Lazar and his account of working at USA, Nevada, Area 51; during its making, Corbell found a witness whom Lazar said had vetted him for his Area 51 security clearance.¹

Corbell’s film Sleeping Dog contains footage that has drawn comment from journalist Ross Coulthart. One image from the film, which Coulthart calls Caspar’s Ghost, appears to show a plasmatic, humanoid-shaped object moving strangely.² Coulthart has said he rejects the theory that Corbell must have been working with government gatekeepers to obtain the footage, calling it a silly theory and describing it as normal for journalists to receive leaked information.³

Alongside George Knapp, Corbell received a series of videos and went to considerable effort to provide them to the United States Congress.⁴ According to Coulthart, around 46 videos were provided or brought to Congress’s attention, many of them first brought to the notice of the Congressional Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Caucus as a result of work by Corbell and Knapp.⁵ Coulthart has said that Corbell and Knapp made the proper ethical and legal assessment before releasing the leaked videos and behaved entirely properly.⁶ Corbell and Knapp have been careful to vet their sources and to ensure leaked videos were not released publicly without proper redactions or without being checked with people able to judge whether secrets would be compromised.⁷

Chris Ramsay has personally spent time with Corbell.⁸ Ramsay has said he considers Corbell very passionate and involved in the UAP/UFO subject, and someone who has done a lot for the UFO movement.⁹ Corbell, in turn, has said that footage supplied by Ramsay was the clearest footage he had ever seen from a civilian of a Tic Tac UFO or UAP.¹⁰
