Pat Price

Pat Price was an American psychic who worked as a remote viewer for the Stanford Research Institute's 1970s remote-viewing programme, known for producing notes describing four alleged underground UFO bases during a 1973 session for Harold Puthoff.

Pat Price was one of the leading psychics in the Stanford Research Institute (SRI)’s remote viewing programme during the 1970s. In 1973 he gave physicist Harold E. Puthoff an unsolicited package of remote-viewing notes describing four alleged “UFO bases” on Earth, an episode recorded as the 1973 Pat Price remote-viewing of alleged “UFO bases” for Hal Puthoff.1 Jacques Vallée said that the SRI experiments with Price and Ingo Swann - including Ingo Swann’s 1975-1977 remote viewing episodes - suggested that remote viewing operates on an addressing scheme.2 According to Bill Chalker, Puthoff was uncertain what to make of Price’s notes but confident of his remarkable psychic abilities.3

One of the four sites Price identified lay just west of the secret US intelligence facility at Pine Gap in central Australia.4 Chalker said Puthoff was intrigued that the associated remote-viewing location was Mt. Zeil.5 Price’s notes named four alleged underground bases in total: Mt. Zeil, Mt. Hayes in Alaska, Mt. Perdido in the Spanish Pyrenees, and Mount Inyangani in Zimbabwe.6 According to Hair of the Alien: DNA and Other Forensic Evidence for Alien Abductions, Mt. Perdido lay near the Basque territories.7

By the early 1980s, Price’s remote-viewing notes had reached army officer Skip Atwater, who used Price’s targets in a blind, controlled fashion while training and assessing US Army remote viewers.8 Working blind, Atwater’s own viewers reported hidden underground facilities with an alleged alien or extraterrestrial connection at the same four localities Price had identified a decade earlier.9

According to Luis Elizondo, Price also remote-viewed a secret National Security Agency (NSA) location in West Virginia while working from a couch on the US west coast, correctly describing identifying labels on file folders locked in a subterranean cabinet there.10

Julia Mossbridge said she recalled a story, which she believed came from Edwin C. May but possibly from Joseph McMoneagle, that in the 1990s Russian counterparts told American researchers “you killed all your psychics” - a remark she understood to refer to Price and possibly other American psi researchers.11

  1. In 1973 Price gave Puthoff an unsolicited package of remote-viewing notes describing four alleged UFO bases
“In 1973 Pat Price, one of the “stars” of the Stanford Research Institute’s (SRI) genesis RV program, gave an unsolicited package to Hal Puthoff, one of the key scientists running the SRI project. It contained Price’s remote viewing notes of four “UFO bases” on Earth.”

  2. Vallée said the SRI experiments with Swann and Price suggest remote viewing follows an addressing scheme
“The SRI experiments with Swann and Price, for example, suggest that remote viewing is based on an addressing scheme.”

  3. Chalker said Puthoff was uncertain what to make of the notes but confident of Price's psychic skill
“Puthoff didn’t know what to think, but he was sure of Price’s remarkable psychic skills.”

  4. One base lay just west of Pine Gap in central Australia
“One of the bases was alleged to be located just to the west of the secret U.S. spy base in central Australia—Pine Gap.”

  7. Mt. Perdido was identified as near the Basque territories
“Perhaps an interesting place to contemplate that Mt. Perdido in the Spanish Pyrenees, near the Basque territories, was one of four underground “UFO bases” identified by remote viewing back in the 1970s by pioneer and “star” remote viewer Pat Price.”

  8. By the early 1980s Price's notes had reached Skip Atwater, used blind in training army remote viewers
“By the early 1980s these notes made their way into the hands of army officer Atwater. Charged with the responsibility of training and assessing the army remote viewers he utilized Price’s “targets” in a blind controlled fashion.”

  9. Atwater's viewers, working blind, reported similar facilities at the same four localities
“He was struck when his own army remote viewers supplied him with information that suggested there were hidden underground facilities with some sort of alien or extraterrestrial connection at the four localities Price had viewed a decade earlier.”

  11. Mossbridge recalled a story that Russians told Americans 'you killed all your psychics', referring to Price
“And at the time I heard a story, I think it was from Ed May, but maybe it was from Joe, about the Russians in the 90s saying, to America, you killed all your psychics, referring to Pat Price and maybe others.”
