Episode 92 of the DEBRIEFED (podcast), recorded on 2026-06-12, features host Chris Ramsay interviewing Michael Horn, the principal English-language advocate for the Billy Meier UFO contact case. Horn presents Billy Meier as an 89-year-old Swiss man who, he claims, has been in contact with human beings from another star system since the age of five,7 and who published information as early as 1946 at approximately nine years of age.11 Ramsay identifies Meier alongside Bob Lazar as among the most divisive figures in the UFO field,4 and Ramsay reports that Lazar described the Billy Meier beam ship (sports model craft) as a one-for-one identical match to craft he was familiar with.5 The I Want to Believe poster appearing throughout The X-Files (TV series) is identified as a cropped Meier photograph.6
Horn describes having made approximately 22 trips to Zurich Highlands Switzerland to meet Meier,8 and states he attempted to expose a hoax on at least four occasions without succeeding.9 Horn claims that approximately 1,200 UFO photographs attributed to Meier have been authenticated,3 with around 580 remaining at the time of the episode, and that the Wedding cake UFO alone has 63 photographs and a video associated with it. The Billy Meier sound recordings were made in a large field with 15 to 20 eyewitnesses,16 and Marcel Vogel, a scientist with IBM, concluded on video that he could not replicate the Billy Meier metal samples using any technology available to him, describing them as made in a cold fusion process;19 at hundreds of magnifications he detected extremely fine laser cuttings with discrete element relationships not consistent with heating in an oven.20 Astronaut Gordon Cooper visually examined the photographs and judged them to be real.21 Thermographic analysis of the Wedding cake UFO photographs in the 1970s detected different heat signatures using early computers.15
The episode gives extended attention to the authenticity debate around specific photographs. Ramsay, drawing on his background in illusion, found forced-perspective imperfections in the wedding cake photographs,13 and separately assessed a close-up nighttime photograph as showing a craft too small and too close to the camera to be full-sized. Horn recounts that Chris Locke and Francisco Velate adjusted the contrast and brightness of a black-background photograph, revealing what appeared to be a large object hovering over a gravelled road with a roughly one-metre-high white road post and a grassy hillside behind it.14 A retired United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) and Department of Defense (DoD) case supervisor who initially identified himself only as Joe18 concluded after a multi-month investigation that the case was, in his assessment, 100% ironclad authentic.17 Horn also states that Wendell Stevens had a model of one of the craft built at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) studios in Hollywood and conducted comparison photography at the sites Meier specified; computer analysis reportedly showed the dangled model clearly as a model, with no energy fields around it.
The Billy Meier contact reports, 928 of which are described as public,22 include prophetic content that occupies a substantial portion of the discussion. Horn states that Asket, described as Meier’s second contact person after Sfath, provided prophecies as early as 1953 that named John Fitzgerald Kennedy as one of two brothers who would be assassinated, specifying USA, Texas, Dallas and a day.31 The Henoch Prophecies, attributed to a document originally created by the prophet Enoch and delivered to Meier in 1987,26 are said to contain approximately 300 specific predictions. Horn states the document was written in German in 1987, with the first English version appearing around 2002, and that it describes the destruction of the World Trade Center, which occurred in 2001.27 A separate 1989 conversation with Quetzal, Horn states, specified that terrorists would fly aeroplanes into the World Trade Center buildings and that about 3,000 people would be killed.28 The Henoch Prophecies also foretell Russia moving troops to Arkhangelsk Russia in preparation for attacks against Scandinavia,29 a detail Horn connects to the subsequent expansion of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) to include Norway, Sweden and Finland.
The episode covers the Giza Intelligences (Befath) at length. Horn describes them as a splinter group diverging from the same ancestral group as the Pleiaren, both originating in the constellation of Lyra.23 The Befath are said to have planned a false second coming using tele-nautic technology capable of beaming frequencies through existing radio, television, wire, telegraph and telephone infrastructure,24 and to have had around 745 political and religious leaders under their influence.25 The Thule Society is among the groups said to have been influenced by the Befath. Horn describes the Befath sonic attack on Billy Meier’s centre as a foiled attempt, timed to coincide with the firing of ceremonial cannons in the Zurich Highlands Switzerland, in which the Pleiaren intervened, ultimately removing the Befath from their underground headquarters beneath the Egypt, Giza, Great Pyramid of Giza. The Billy Meier and Asket Giza pyramid visit is also described: Horn states Asket led Meier to an entrance leading one to two kilometres below the pyramid, where a chamber contained large and small craft and objects he was told were fabricated relics of the crucifixion, designed to carbon-date to the correct period.
The discovery of the Talmud of Jmmanuel scrolls is recounted in detail. Around 1963 or 1964, Meier and Isa Rashid, a Greek Orthodox priest fluent in Aramaic, excavated a tomb on the outskirts of Jerusalem Israel and found resin-encrusted, animal-skin-wrapped scrolls.30 Rashid translated the scrolls and transmitted the first portion to Meier; he was subsequently forced to flee with his family, sequestering the scrolls in a refugee village in Lebanon before they were destroyed. Around 1974, Horn states, Meier learned that Rashid and his family had been killed in Baghdad Iraq, ostensibly by the Israeli Secret Service (Mossad).32 The resulting Talmud of Jmmanuel (TJ) identifies the historical figure known as Jesus Christ as Jmmanuel, and the episode draws connections to the lineage of prophets Horn says Meier continues, which includes Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jmmanuel, and Muhammad. The creation energy teaching (Geisteslehre), Horn states, holds that there are no deities and that the meaning of life is the evolution of consciousness, with reincarnation understood as real but producing entirely new personalities across as many as two million incarnations. The episode closes with discussion of remote viewing and the recently deceased Ed Dames,34 with whom Horn collaborated for over a year on a technical remote viewing home study course33 and whom he later assessed critically as an expert witness in a related lawsuit.
